GENERAL
MEMBERSHIP MEETING, January 31, 2008 The
Annual General Membership meeting was held on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at the
Club.
In addition to a brief review of Club business, new Club
Officers were elected, Dale Crumpton received a certificate recognizing his
accomplishment of an Instrument rating, and two guest speakers presented two very
interesting topics: Jim
Henderson made a presentation about the combustion process in a typical GA
recip engine and how it affects CHT, EGT and longevity.
Bob
Thomas spoke about the original Wright Flyer picture and gave a lot of very
interesting background about what happened before, during, and after this historic
event.
Several
people who have contributed a lot of volunteer time and effort to our Club were
also introduced and thanked for their most-appreciated "behind-the-scenes"
volunteer efforts: Justin
Nash, a creative designer in Proposal Services, is largely responsible for
creating the new look to our Club web site.
Jared Crookston, a software
engineer on one of our current contract projects, updated our domain account and
our web site hosting service. Ray Towell,
also a creative designer in Proposal Services, is repainting our Club sign that
overhangs the front door. Ray is also working with Justin to update the
Club's logo.
Dale
Crumpton received recognition for having achieved his Instrument rating.
